It was International Waffle Day the other day, on the 25th of March to be exact, and as a waffle lover I made some very yummy ones. After posting about it on instagram, I got so many requests about the recipe... so here it is!
I love indulging these delicious waffles (yup, free from everything; refined white sugar and flour, and dairy), topped with my mums homemade strawberry jam and Grandmas apple jam 😍
Ingredients (5 servings)
200g organic spelt flour
2-3 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla powder
A pinch Pink Himalayan salt
3dl plant milk (I prefer cashew or oatly)
2 tbsp coconut oil
1. Mix all the dry ingredients, and add in the plant milk and oil. Mix well, until it’s smooth.
2. Cook in waffle iron on medium-high heat for around 5-10 minutes, or until the lamp turns green (depending on your waffle iron).
3. Serve with homemade jam.
