As seen on my story and feed lately, I’ve started a 12-week programme with Symprove to support a healthy balance in my gut bacteria. Many of you have asked me why it’s good, how it works and why I choose Symprove. So, I decided to put it all together in a blog post for you.
One of the keys to a good digestive health is directly related to how balanced the bacteria in your gut is. Inside your digestive track there is typically 100 trillion of active organisms such as bacteria, yeast and fungi. This vast ecosystem is known as our gut microbiome and is working together in a special symbiotic relationship to both maintain general health, as well as basic physiological process such as breaking down food. It’s important to bear in mind that this mix of bacteria is unique to each and every person. Maintaining a healthy balance of bacteria isn’t that easy in today’s society, it’s easy to disrupt the balance of bacteria with an irregular diet, a course of antibiotics or just general stresses of everyday life. This is where symprove comes handy, as it’s a multi-strain, live and active bacteria that will support a healthy balance of bacteria’s in your gut.
What´s special with Symprove compared to other probiotics?
Symprove is a unique, liquid formulation containing four strains of live and activated bacteria which are delivered to the gut to support the microbiome. For any beneficial bacteria supplements (probiotics) to be effective, the bacteria must go through to where they can work – the large intestine (or colon). This means they must pass through the hostile environment of your stomach and small intestine. Because Symprove is a water-based formulation it isn’t seen as a food for your stomach. This means that the bacteria pass straight through without activating digestion and therefor reaches the targeted areas of your gut alive and ready to thrive. When food is eaten, your digestive system is triggered, with acid being released in your stomach, and other enzymes and bile salts in your small intestines.

Why 12 weeks?
It’s important to take Symprove for the full 12 weeks in order to experience the best results from a healthy balance of gut bacteria. Personally, I felt much better already after a few weeks in, I’m still only about to start the 4th week but are very positive about following the programme throughout the 12weeks as recommended.
How I take it
Each morning, on an empty stomach I take a 70ml dose using the cup provided in the box. Then I leave it a minimum of 10 minutes – perfect timing to jump in the shower, before having my breakfast and matcha.
