I posted a photo of my purple magical morning smoothie on instagram this morning, and I've received so many recipe request from all of you. So here it is.
Handlful of kale
Handful of wild frozen blueberries
Handful of wild frozen rasperberries
250ml coconut water
1 Scoop plant based proteins
Mix all the ingredients in a blender and ready to serve! You can also make it as a smoothie bowl and drizzle some granola on top.
Ive been extremly lucky and got my freezer filled up with Norwegain wild blueberries and raspberries, by my amazing parents who visited a few weeks back. My dad had vaccum packed them for me, so they could fit perfectly in my freezer!
Blueberry picking in the forest
The berries I use is 100% organic and grown in the forest, in fact I picked them myself at our summerhouse in Norway last summer. Within 2hours of picking I had around 15 liters of wild grown blueberries - thats like a candy shop for me - I cant get enough of sun ripe, natural berries !! If you get the chance to pick you own berries you should defenitly go for it, first of all you get to spend time in nature, its calming and relaxing for both your body and mind, you get more grounded in a way. You can eat as many berries you want (depending on how efficent you want to be) and you will have a freezer full of the most amazing antioxidants athroughout the winter!! How amazing isnt that??
Natural source of antioxidants, polyphenols and probiotica
Blueberries and raspberries are very high in antioxidants such as polyphenols and are also a good source of natural probiotics - which we love for our immunesystem, our skin and overall wellbeing!!
Just had to add a few pictures (below) of my blueberry-picking buddy.... My little boy loves blueberries soooo much, its incredible and he actually eat them straigh from the bushes himself - unless I serve him though.
