Granola Recipe

I love making my own granola recipe, and with one very good reason - no added refined sugar. I only add a bit of raw organic honey, which gives your body healthy building blocks, I'll tell you more about this in details on a later post - so please subscribe below if you want to receive emails with news and updates.

Another good reason, is allergy, with this recipe you can add whatever you like. So if you are allergic to nuts, just remove them or if you want something else, just add it. Its easy.

But the main reason, its super easy, takes you maximum 30min and you can "custom made" it :)

Granola is perfect with berries and yoghurt (I prefer coconut yoghurt, as its dairy free - the reason why will also be well explained on a later post), or as a topping on your smoothie. It can be served as breakfast, snacks or dessert.

oh, and its also a really cute Christmas present or as a little extra for the hostess if you're invited for a dinner party.

I recommend to use as much organic ingredients as possible.

This is what you need:

Preheat the oven to 175*C

250g Oats

70g Sunflower seeds

50g Sesame seeds

70g Almonds

70g Hazelnuts

30g Desiccated Coconut

1 tsp Grounded Cinnamon

2 tbsp Coconut oil

2 tbsp Honey

70g Raisins

70g Cranberries

Method

Mix the oats, seeds and nuts ( I prefer to chop the nuts a bit first) and the desiccated coconut. Add the mixture to a roasting pan and add the cinnamon, coconut oil and honey - leave in the oven for about 10minutes. Remember to keep an eye on it and to mic frequently, so it do not burn and for the coconut oil and honey to blend well. Take the mixture out when it looks nice and golden (10-20min). Then you add the rest of the ingredients and blend well.

Voila - you made your own homemade granola!

Easy, right??

Why not recommend this to a friend and/or tag us when you add a photo of your own homemade granola?
